Total combined software is down week on week to 6.30 million games sold a decrease of 438,000 (-7%). PlayStation 3 software sales is down to 1.43 million games sold, a decrease of 230,000 (-14%). The Wii takes the top spot this week with 1.84 million games sold, an increase of 42,000. Week on week software totals is up for the Wii and down for every other platform. Pokémon Black / White Version (DS) is at number eight with sales of 75,000.

The Sims 3: Generations (PC) is this week’s top debut as it debuts at number nine with sales of 62,000. Three games debuted in the top 40 this week, which is the same as last week. DS sales have steadily fallen for three months as it falls below the 100,000 mark this week.

The PlayStation 3 remains ahead of the Xbox 360 for the eighteenth straight week.ģDS sales increase for a second straight and pass the PSP in sales however they do remain below the DS for a seventh straight week. The Wii has taken the top spot for the second straight week, as its sales increase for a third straight week, thanks in part to the price cut in America and EMEAA. Total year on year sales are down 78,000 (-9%). The DS takes the biggest hit down 147,000 (-60%). The PlayStation 3 sold 31,000 (-18%) less this week than the same week last year and the PSP is down 31,000 (-27%). The Wii is up year on year, 18,000 (8%), for the first time all year. The Xbox 360 is up 21,000 (20%) units sold year on year. Year on year sales are up for the Xbox 360 and the Wii, while the other platforms are down.

Total week on week sales increased 30,000 (4%) to 772,000 units. The 3DS moves above the PSP with 92,000 units sold, this is an increase of 6,000 (7%). The DS sold 9,000 units, down just 1,000 (-1%) compared to last week. It sold 127,000 units this week, an increase of 6,000 (5%). The Xbox 360 is in last for the home consoles, but remains above all the handhelds. The PlayStation 3 is in second this week, with sales of 139,000 units, an increase of 4,000 (3%). The Wii sold the most hardware this week with 233,000 units sold, an increase of 21,000 (10%). Week on week sales are up for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and 3DS and are down for the DS and PSP. Five games sold over 100,000 and the top 15 sold over 50,000. Software milestones this week: Mario Kart Wii crosses the 27 million mark Dance Central (X360) crosses the 2 million mark and Nintendogs + cats (3DS) passes the 500,000 mark. Other than the Wii, software is down week on week. Hardware is up for all three of the home consoles and the 3DS and is down for the DS and PSP.
